Pavement Repair Work Scheduled on Missouri Route 168 and Route JJ in Marion County

HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, as early as August 17, a pavement repair project is scheduled on two routes in Marion County. This work will include pavement repairs, milling, diamond grinding, and guardrail improvements.

Initially, operations will begin on Missouri Route 168 from U.S. 61/24 in Palmyra to Route JJ. Once completed, work will move to Route JJ from Missouri Route 168 to the end of state maintenance.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot 6-inch width restriction at the location where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide motorists through the work zone. Signs, including message boards, will be utilized for traffic control and alerts, such as schedule changes.

The $1.1M contract was awarded last year to Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. of Columbia, Missouri. All work is scheduled to be completed by November 2026.
