MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Forward 44: I-44 / Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway)
Where: In Springfield
- Westbound I-44 to southbound Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) off-ramp left lane Closure
- Eastbound I-44 to northbound Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) off-ramp left lane Closure
- Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) to westbound I-44 on-ramp CLOSED
When: 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 16 – 6 a.m. Thursday, September 17
What: Contractor crews will close lanes on off-ramps and close the on-ramp to collect core samples as part of the upcoming Forward 44 project. For the latest on work happening along the corridor, visit the Forward 44 website: Forward 44 | Missouri Department of Transportation.
Traffic Impacts:
- Westbound I-44 to southbound Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) off-ramp left lane Closure
- Eastbound I-44 to northbound Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) off-ramp left lane Closure
- Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) to westbound I-44 on-ramp CLOSED
- Crew and equipment close to traffic
- No signed detours; drivers are urged to find alternate routes
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers to work zones and inform the public when there are reduced speeds and traffic delays
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closures/traffic impacts
