Planned Roadwork for Northwest Missouri, Nov. 2-8

St. Joseph, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Nov. 2-8.

There may be moving operations, such as mowing, brush cutting and litter removal, throughout the region in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org, or download the app for updated information.

Andrew County

Interstate29 – Bridge maintenance northbound at the bridge over the Nodaway River, Nov. 2-5. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Route D – Pavement repair between County Road 339 and County Road 341, Nov. 4.

Route C – Pavement repair just south of County Road 163, Nov. 5.

Atchison County

U.S. Route 46 – Resurfacing project from U.S. Route 59 to the Nodaway River through October. The road will be narrowed to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)

U.S. Route 136 – Resurfacing project from Interstate 29 to U.S. Route 71, east of the Burlington Junction through October. The road will be narrowed to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)

Route J – CLOSED for culvert replacement at 250th Road, Oct. 5-6, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

I-29 – Concrete replacement southbound from the 116 mile marker to the 113 mile marker, Nov. 2-6.

Buchanan County

U.S. Route 59/Route 752/Route U – CLOSED northbound between Ohio Street and Alabama Street through mid-December for an ongoing intersection improvement project through September 2027. Caldwell County

Carroll County

U.S. Route 65 – Bridge maintenance at the bridge over Shootman Creek, Nov. 5-6. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane around-the-clock with temporary traffic signals in place and a 10-foot width restriction.

Clinton County

Route BB – Core Drilling at the bridge over I-29, Nov. 3-6.

DeKalb County

U.S. Route 36 – Intersection improvement project at Bob F. Griffin Road, through November 2026. U.S. Route 36 will be narrowed to one lane, with an 11-foot width restriction. There are no right turns from eastbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound Bob Griffin Road or from westbound U.S. Route 36 to northbound Bob Griffin Road. (Contractor: Clarkson Construction Company).

Grundy County

Route 6 – Pavement repair from SW 24th Street to 332th Street, Nov. 2-6. The road will be narrowed to one lane 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Route O – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 37th Avenue to 48th Avenue, Nov. 3, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route NN – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 100th Street to 120th Street, Nov. 4, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Harrison County

I-35 – Resurfacing project from the Iowa state line to Route N near Eagleville through October 2026. An 11-foot width restriction will be in place. (Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons)

Livingston County

Route Y – Scrub seal project from Route A to Route 190, Nov. 2-6. (Contractor: Above and Below Contracting, LLC)

Mercer County

U.S. Route 136 – Bridge deck replacement project at the Grand River Overflow Bridge in Princeton, through mid-November 2026. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals. U.S. Route 136 – Resurfacing project and culvert improvements from Route C (Mercer County) to Route N near Livonia through October 2026. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place. (Magruder Paving, LLC.)

Nodaway County

U.S. Route 71 – Resurfacing project from the Iowa state line to Route CC north of Maryville through October 2026. The road may be narrowed to one lane, and a 10-foot width restriction will be in place. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)

U.S. Route 46 – Resurfacing project from U.S. Route 59 to Nodaway River through late October. The road may be narrowed to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)

Route CC – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route 129 to 100th Street, Nov. 2-6, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.
